Why a Blog?

We built Studeli to help students learn more effectively, but the tool is only part of the equation. How you study matters just as much as what you use to study.

Many students spend hours studying ineffectively - rereading notes, highlighting textbooks, cramming the night before exams. These feel like studying, but research shows they're among the least effective learning methods.

Our blog shares the science of learning in practical, actionable ways. We want to help you study less and learn more.

Office Document Support

Now let's talk about something many of you have been requesting: support for Microsoft Word and PowerPoint files.

Upload Your School Materials

Your teachers and professors probably share materials in Word (.docx) and PowerPoint (.pptx) formats. Now you can upload these directly to Studeli and transform them into interactive study materials.

What You Can Upload

  • Word Documents (.docx) - Lecture notes, reading assignments, handouts, syllabi
  • PowerPoint Presentations (.pptx) - Lecture slides, class presentations, visual summaries

What You Get

Upload an Office document, and Studeli can generate:

  • Study guides that organize and expand on the content
  • Practice questions based on the material
  • Flashcards for key terms and concepts
  • Summaries for quick review

Perfect For

Lecture Slides: Transform your professor's PowerPoint from a visual aid into a complete study resource. Our AI fills in the gaps between bullet points with comprehensive explanations.

Course Handouts: Turn those Word documents your teacher shares into practice questions and flashcards.

Reading Notes: Upload your typed notes and generate practice materials to test your understanding.

Group Projects: Working with shared documents? Turn research into organized study materials.

How It Works

  1. Click "Upload File" in the study material generator
  2. Select your Word or PowerPoint file
  3. Choose what type of study material to generate
  4. Let Studeli work its magic

The process extracts all text content from your document, including text in PowerPoint slides, speaker notes, and Word document body text.

Tips for Best Results

  • Clear formatting helps: Well-organized documents produce better results
  • More content is better: Longer documents give the AI more to work with
  • Remove irrelevant sections: If there's content you don't need to study, consider removing it first
  • Check the output: Always review generated materials for accuracy

Combining Features

The blog and Office document support work great together. Here's a suggested workflow:

  1. Read a blog post about effective study techniques
  2. Upload your lecture slides to generate study materials
  3. Apply the techniques you learned to study those materials
  4. Track your progress as you improve

Coming From Google Docs?

Currently, we support Microsoft Office formats (.docx and .pptx). For Google Docs or Slides, you can:

  1. Open your document in Google Drive
  2. Go to File → Download
  3. Choose Microsoft Word (.docx) or PowerPoint (.pptx)
  4. Upload the downloaded file to Studeli

We're working on direct Google Workspace integration for the future!
